Before the camera connects
Safety Tips
Practical boundaries for one-on-one video chat, random matching, messages, and profile discovery.
Control camera and microphone access
Your browser should ask before a site can use your camera or microphone. Allow access only when you intend to use video. If something looks wrong, close the interaction and review site permissions in your browser settings. Denying permission can prevent video from working, but it does not create a successful connection.
Keep identifying details private
Avoid sharing your home address, workplace, financial accounts, identity documents, passwords, or authentication codes. A profile, video image, or friendly conversation is not proof of someone’s identity or intentions. Do not send money or gift cards to someone you meet online.
Leave, report, and block
End any conversation that makes you uncomfortable. Use the available report and block tools for harassment, coercion, suspected underage users, scams, or other rule violations. Reporting does not guarantee an outcome, but it gives the platform information to review through its existing process.
Adults only and no absolute guarantees
MiniChats is only for adults 18+. Do not use the service to sexualize or exploit minors. No online platform can promise absolute safety, complete anonymity, or verified intentions. Private video chat describes a one-on-one setting, not end-to-end encryption or immunity from screenshots and recording by another person.
